“Oh that God would give every mother a vision of the glory and splendor of the work that is given to her when a babe is placed in her bosom to be nursed and trained! Could she have but one glimpse into the future of that life as it reaches on into eternity; could she look into it’s soul to see its possibilities; could she be made to understand her own personal responsibility for the training of this child, for the development of its life, and for its destiny,–she would see that in all God’s world there is no other work so noble and so worthy of her best powers, and she would commit to no other’s hands the sacred and holy trust given to her.” -JR Miller
This ministry exists to support families and the important work of being mothers. A prayer shawl wraps warmth and love around the wearer. It also serves to create shelter or a sacred space for mother and baby. Each shawl is lovingly and prayerfully made, with each stitch serving as a prayer for the wearer. The shawls can be used simply as shawls, as baby blankets, nursing covers or lap blankets.
Shawls are given to new mothers, adoptive mothers and to those who have lost a baby through miscarriage.
If you would like to donate a shawl or know of a mother who would like a shawl, please contact Amy at [email protected]
“For Thou didst form my inward parts,
Thou didst knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise Thee, for Thou art fearful and wonderful.
Wonderful are Thy works!!” Psalm 139:13-14
